JACKIE MINCHEW for EVERETT CITY COUNCIL yard signs are going up around town! Email JWMchew-at-aol.com to let me know if (or remind me) you would like one in your yard. Please include your address in your email so we can deliver it.
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Now is the time to start writing letters to the editor of the Herald and any other paper you think Everett voters might read. We have a handy list of tips for writing a “LTE” - email JWMchew-at-aol.com if you would like a copy of this document. If your letter isn’t published within a week, re-submit it or email Carol MacPherson at letters-at-heraldnet.com to see if it is in line to be published.
CAMPAIGN WORK PARTY (OCT. 13)
Please join us at the Firewheel Community Coffee Shop, 2727 Colby, this Sunday the 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 PM for a work party, round two. We will finish assembling the last batch of yard signs and decide where to put them. We will also address and stamp postcards and figure out how many more we think we can get done before the election. For those who are willing to make phone calls, we will have call lists and a script – please let us know by 5pm Saturday if you are willing to make phone calls and can at least stop by Firewheel to pick up your call list.
CANDIDATE FORUM AT EVERGREEN MIDDLE SCHOOL (OCT 15)
Several Everett Neighborhoods have joined together to present a Candidate Forum at Evergreen Middle School on Tuesday, Oct. 15, starting at 6:30 PM. My opponent and I will be one of three competitive races, though the Mayor, two Council members and a Port Commissioner, all unopposed, will also be speaking. Evergreen Middle School is at 7621 Beverly Lane. It would be great to see lots of friendly faces in the audience for this exciting opportunity to see me highlight the differences between my vision for Everett and my opponent’s. We will have campaign signs to wave – see you there!
